A Glamorous Spanish Coast Wedding

Our wedding couple, saleswoman Adriana and her very long-time love, engineer Javier, decided to be married in the church of Santa Maria de Luanco, around the coast of Siero within their home country of northern Spain.

They chose 9th September 2017 because of the wedding date and followed the church ceremony track of a stunning reception in the 17th-Century.

Adriana and Javier first met 14 years back at another wedding these were both guests at. After losing touch for a few years following their first meeting, they reconnected, just as one official couple, and finally got engaged. Javier proposed to Adriana at sunset around the beach at Cala Comte in Ibiza, among Adriana's favorite places along with a proposal she describes as 'truly magical!'.

Adriana chose an utterly stunning scoop neck long sleeve dress by an Asturian wedding gown designer for her day, a fitting option for the beautiful Spanish surroundings.

"I thought it might be an easy process, using a clear concept of what I wanted for my wedding gown, however needing to imagine everything so far ahead of time made me very nervous! I loved every part of my dress yourself in the end though. From the fall from the silk, towards the spectacular neckline in the back, and also the sleeves – everything about this!"

"The children were wonderful! The girls wore blue floral dresses for girls, as well as their spectacular headdresses, which were again produced by my cousin Paula. For their accessories, they wore a set of beige espadrilles and carried wicker baskets full of paniculate, an attractive flower for me. The boys also looked very handsome in a nutshell beige linen shorts, an easy blue shirt along with a pair of espadrilles on the feet from Bonete and Pompom."

"And for that icing around the cake, I bought all of them some blackboards that they hung around their necks with each writing an interesting message for example 'Uncle Javi, it's your last opportunity to run away..'"

"Our ceremony took place in the church in an attractive town around the coast by which I lived my life. It's an amazing place through the sea. The Valdesoto Palace we selected due to its large gardens and enormous living room where we're able to enjoy dinner and dancing."

"Javier wore a really elegant morning coat inside a blue color, an attractive waistcoat along with a tie in the same blue as his suit jacket." Click

For the ceremony, the pair hired a string quartet called Arsis as well as their rings came in the same place Javier bought Adriana's diamond engagement ring, a jewelry store in Gijón called. They each chose an easy gold band engraved around the inside using their names and also the date of the big day.

To capture the special moment of their big day on camera, the pair hired Spanish wedding photographer Jaider from, whose natural documentary style photography impressed them initially, and whose personality designed a lasting impression.

"We couldn't have designed a better choice than having Jaider photograph our wedding. The first thing we liked about him was how good he made us have the first time we met him to go over the photos and big day, that was very important to us. The second thing we loved was the concept of photos without needing to pose on their behalf, and photos that felt natural and candid."

The girls at Oviedo also took care of the rest of the decor throughout the church and reception venues, such as the floral centerpieces and seating plan.

"The seating plan would be one of the ways at first, then because it started to rain, we'd to go for plan B. The first idea ended up being to have glass jars with water and flowers hanging from the big tree near the entrance of the palace, using the name of every guest on each jar, however, we'd to change it and set a big golden mirror using the names in our guests in the entrance due towards the rain. It ended up looking amazing though!"

"Each of our tables was named after different coves in Ibiza once we wanted the area to be a part of our day since it's where our proposal happened, and among my favorites."

"I really couldn't choose only one favorite part of the day! All the moments were so magical, from the preparations inside my parent's house where we'd our hair and constitute done, towards the arrival at the altar on my dad's arm, the very first encounter with my future husband, the dinner, the dance…everything was amazing!"

Words Of Wedded Wisdom

"My best advice is always to enjoy everything to its fullest; every preparation you are making, every test, selection of menu, flowers, everything! Although in the beginning, everything might seem overwhelming, all of the preparation is also a part of the big day. It's among the most important days in our lives and something which passes so quickly so treasures each moment."
