They met on the other hand of the world—and came home together.
Josh and Annastasia met while doing a mission operation in Uganda. “We virtually knew from the beginning that we were intended to be together!” said the bride-to-be. The couple spent fourteen days in Africa and arrived home utterly inseparable. “We felt comfortable together,” Annastasia continued, “and everyone could see how happy we made one another.”
Anastasia and Josh had originally planned a sizable and detailed wedding, but because of the pandemic, they were forced to replay the whole event in only fourteen days and cut their guest list to simply 25 people. What mattered to Anastasia and Josh? Getting married. And, based on the couple, your day was “perfect from start to finish.”
Anastasia's favorite part of the ceremony: seeing Josh for the very first time, and watching his reaction when he saw her!
Rustic, laid-back, and breathtaking. Josh is a landscape gardener and spends time and effort outdoors. Given his superior skills, the pair made a lot from the décor themselves—wooden welcome signs, and personalized table placards. The natural venue was stunning, and encompassed by gardens created by Josh and the father!
Effortless, elegant, nature-inspired—hand-embroidered having a delicate leaf pattern inside a mix of ivory and oyster shades. As Anastasia said, “I fell deeply in love with it on my small first day of stacees dress shopping.” Soon after, Annastasia found an image she drew like a teenager of her “dream wedding gown or bridal gowns .” The two were almost identical. (How great is the fact that?)
“It was magic!” Anastasia told us. Josh and Annastasia danced to Major Lazer’s “Lay Your Head On Me,” a sluggish, romantic song that accumulates speed and shifts right into a faster beat. The newlyweds spun outside within the courtyard just like dusk became dark, while friends and family lit sparklers around them. Magic, indeed!
The wedding cake, Victoria Sponge with jam and cream, is made from scratch by Josh’s aunt, also it was beautiful—simple and stylish, having a bit of greenery. A floating cake stand separated the tiers, ethereal and festive.
As to the (in this instance, who) makes Annastasia feel most beautiful, the solution couldn’t be clearer: Josh. “How he examines me,” she answered.
Sounds such as these two were intended to be.
